WELCOME, FAMILIES!

Letter from the President of Stevens PTCO

Dear Stevens Elementary Families (Current and Future),

As the President of the Parent-Teacher-Community-Organization (PTCO), I am thrilled
to welcome all our new and returning families to another exciting school year at Stevens
Elementary.

My family and I have been a part of the Stevens community since 2022. I have seen
first-hand how Stevens has been a source of tremendous growth, both academically
and personally, for my daughter. Working with the dedicated administration and staff I
believe that the PTCO plays a crucial role in fostering the atmosphere and community
that makes Stevens special. For me personally, participating in the “Trunk or Treat”
event that the PTCO sponsored in 2023 drove home what a special community we are a part of
at Stevens, the power that a passionate group of people can have, and ultimately was
my inspiration to become more involved.

The Stevens PTCO supports the students, staff, and community in many ways. We
work with the administration to support student development, show appreciation to our
dedicated teachers and staff, beautify our campus, and put on fun events for our
community. We’re committed to growing Stevens by encouraging the broader Oak
Forest community to be active participants in supporting our school.

The PTCO has many ways to communicate with the Stevens community. I invite you to
join our mailing list to receive our monthly newsletter. We also regularly post on both
Instagram and Facebook to update families on fun PTCO events, volunteer
opportunities, school news, and community events. We would love to have you join us
at an upcoming PTCO meeting to learn more about what we do and how you can be a
part of it.

Finally, I urge you all to reach out to me directly at info@stevensptoc.org or another
member of the PTCO if you have questions or are looking for a way to get involved!

Sincerely,
Alex Summitt
PTCO President 2024-25
